The 7th generation of memory-optimized VMs powered by Intel CPU is out: R7iz. Like its name announces, we face a series with large balance for RAM (1:16). On top of that, the "z" suffix characterises a "3.9 GHz sustained all-core turbo frequency".
We ran an evaluation of a medium r7iz.2xlarge against its AMD alternative r7a.2xlarge:
