As you can guess AWS owns a worldwide footprint rewarding them with the famous "On 5 continents". On the map below that only with the main Compute Regions, the distribution of the point-of-presence is not heterogeneous. We clearly see massive concentrations of datacenters in Europe, South East Asia and Northern America. And a unique Region for a whole continent in South America and Asia.
